I’m having trouble making the hot glue stick to the candle and candy canes….. any suggestions.

Hi, Pam! Hot glue always works for me (I’m usually VERY generous with the glue though), but maybe you should try a stronger glue like Super Bond? I did mine with the candy canes unwrapped; you might want to try unwrapping them (or leaving the wrapping on if you are unwrapping to see if that might work). I hope that helps.

I tried this. Wrapped candy canes and unwrapped. Glue would not stick to my candles. Now I have 14 red candles I don’t need. It looked so easy. I had 5 boxes of 18 candy canes. Luckily enough I was able to take back to my store. I’ve used my glue sticks before for candy canes making a wreath. But the glue actually melted the candle. So may you have to use a certain type of candle.
