I always try to use green and natural cleaning products, but some things just need the help of those super toxic “apply with gloves” ingredients to REALLY clean them. That’s how I feel about cleaning my tub (thank God for Fantastic Scrubbing Bubbles) and shower head (CLR territory). But browsing through Pinterest, I found a more eco-friendly solution, a simple vinegar + baking soda mix. So I decided to put to the test and I was VERY surprised with how it turned out. What do you think of the results? Not perfect, but pretty good, right?

DIY Candy Dish
My obsession with dishes has already been well documented on this site. I grew up seeing my parents amazing collection, I’ve found some fun ways to use glass containers at my home parties, and I even have done a DIY on repurposing glass bottles. DIY Chalkboard Tray
A couple weeks ago, I drove by my favorite craft store, Hobby Lobby, and let me tell you, that place is so amazing that it makes every 25 miles trip to their closest store from my home worth it. I went inside to get a few things for a future DIY project, and could not pass up these beautiful gingham handles. Immediately I thought they would look great on a tray and why not a chalkboard tray. If needed, sand off any rough areas and wipe it clean for smooth surface. Apply 2 layers of chalkboard paint and let it dry for three hours.

DIY Hand Stamped Gift Wrap
Spending a few minutes to create custom gift wrapping really takes your gift to the next level. I used simple shipping paper (from the dollar store) and this bird stamp to create a fun repeating pattern for this bird themed gift. Last weekend while wandering around Frederick, a lovely town in Maryland, we walked by Voila Tea Shop, and on such a cold day we could not resist trying their delicious hot tea.
