• NYC: To Shop

Pearl River Mart is the real Chinatown experience, all within a 3 level shop on Broadway two blocks north of Canal Street. They sell kimonos, cutlery, dishes, teas, Asian candies, furniture, and lots of other Chinese kitsch. • Hermes Silk Scarves

Ever since my teens I’ve been in love with silk scarves.  They make me think of a classic and elegant afternoon in the French Riviera.  If you buy a scarf from Hermes it comes with a card that shows a few ways to tie it.  For me, an orange box from Hermes beats a Tiffany blue box any day.  Lately I’ve been captivated by these silk scarf inspired fashion and home accessories. BTW:  If anyone has seen this missing vintage Hermes tray, please let me know where I can get it!

  • Ikea Finds

For those who appreciate clean modern designs, but are on a tight budget, Ikea is a great option.  While Ikea may be known for budget furniture that reveals its inner plywood at the first dent, ding, or scrape, they also have some great products that in the right dosage can be mixed into any style decor.  Here’s a few of my favorite IKEA finds.
