  • Design Your Own Fabric at Spoonflower

    Fabrics have always been my passion, and lately after purchasing an amazing sewing machine, I got to collect buy many different and colorful fabrics for some handmade gifts for friends and family. Lately I discover Spoonflower, a digital textile printer from North Carolina, where you can upload your own designs, print and even sell your own fabric design at Spoonflower marketplace. Everyone who uploads a design can choose to make it public,and earn a 10 percent commission anytime someone buys it.   • Luckett’s 12th Annual Spring Market

    When the weather is nice I love to take a beautiful road trip, and even better if I can find some amazing antique shops along the way.  One of my favorite antique and vintage shops is The Old Luckett Store, in Luckett,Virginia. This weekend  they are hosting the Spring Market (May 21-22), where more than 170 antique dealers from all over the country come to sell their wonderful goodies. The ticket costs $7 and children under 12 are free. I can’t wait to see the great vintage linens, and antiques.   • Homemade Vanilla Ice Cream

    It’s almost that time of the year to bring the ice cream maker out of storage and get to work in the kitchen. This year I promised myself to not buy any store-bought ice cream this summer and make our own with delicious,  various flavors and even try some audacious recipes like dairy-free  and raw ice cream.
