Is it just me, or after this long cold winter is everybody ready to bring a little more color in the world. I can’t wait for spring to get here and bring with it green leaves budding and flowers sprouting. It’s getting to be time to start planning Easter brunch and all the decorations that come along with it. Easter decor are all about the flowers, the greens, the pastels, all those colors we missed when the world was covered in white.

Apple Pie in a Jar
A couple weeks ago we took our annual trip to a beautiful orchard in Northern Virginia for a fun day of apple picking. This year we chose Hollin Farms. We’ve been to Hollin Farms several times for strawberry picking, but it was our first time there for apples, and it turned out there was a LOT more in season than just apples! The farm is about 45 minutes from Washington DC and goes straight through Virginia wine country. There are several great wineries to stop at for a glass, or just a scenic picnic. DIY: Tea Bags Quotes
I love adding a special touch and a little love to simple gifts. My mother-in-law loves tea, so I got her a new mug and a box of tea. I had this idea of adding inspirational quotes to each tea bag so that every morning when she drinks her tea she would have a positive message to start her day.
