Nutella Mug Cake

March 6, 2013

cake

This recipe takes about a minute to prepare, a minute to cook, and all you need is a coffee mug, five simple ingredients, and a microwave. It’s a perfect quick treat, or fast dessert when you have last minute guests. Enjoy!

Ingredients:

  • 4 tbsp flour
  • 1/4 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 cup Nutella
  • 3 tbsp milk
  • butter (just enough to coat the inside of the mug/ramekin)

5ingre

Directions:

Butter the inside of the mug (or ramekin).  Combine all ingredients into the oversized mug. Mix with a fork or a small whisk until smooth. The batter rises quite a bit, so be sure you have a large enough cup; you can also fill two small ramekins with this amount if you prefer. Cook it in the microwave for about 1 minute. A knife inserted should come out clean and the top of cake should look done. If the top is still not set, put it in for another 20 seconds. Serve with fresh whip cream or a small scoop of ice cream and fresh fruit.

Love it! Looks like so much fun. I’ll have to try it, but I might have to buy some cute little cups like yours first!
